Jane's Day For Inspiration

Good morning! I am a little late with my inspiration post this month as I have been on holiday and didn't get chance to schedule it before I left. Today I have another Christmas card to share using one of my favourite Christmas stamps from Magnolia- Frozen Tilda.

I have painted her with Distress Inks using the no lines technique and added some snowflakes with a white gel pen.

The card shape, snowflakes and pine branch have been cut with Doohickey dies from Vintage Box 4 which was recently available on Hochanda.

The snowflakes look so pretty and sparkly cut from glitter paper with a gem in the centre!

DT Jane's Inspirational Post

Good morning! It's my turn to provide the inspiration today. Today's card is one of the thank you cards I've made for the end of term. I've used the gorgeous papers from Maja Design's Summertime Collection.

I have painted Flower Girl Tilda from the Believe in Unicorns Collection with Distress Inks and used a white gel pen to add dots to her cheeks and eyes.

The flowers and lace are from Craft Heaven and I have used a Doohickey die to cut the paper lace on the red striped paper.

Tilda With Plant

Good morning! Today it is my turn to inspire you over on the TOMIC blog where our theme this month is May Flowers.

I have used Tilda with Plant from the Upgrade Le Fleur collection. As always I have painted with Distress Inks using the no lines technique.

The flowers and leaves were cut with Doohickey dies from Vintage box 1. The papers are by Maja Design.

I have used the Newspaper stamp from the Upgrade LeFleur collection to create an embellishment piece.

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter! I hope you are enjoying the Easter weekend. We have made, and already eaten several, Easter nest cakes here and are looking forward to this morning's egg hunt! You may have already seen today's project if you tuned into Magnolia's debut on Hochanda TV where my lovely team mate Becky created live on the show. I'm sharing it today on the TOMIC blog. I saved a pretty yellow egg box ready for decorating as an Easter gift - these are a great idea to give small eggs in.

I had to get an Easter bunny on here, of course, so I chose the sweet Tilda with Little Bunny from the Sunbeam Collection and painted her with Distress Inks as always. I added Stardust Stickles to her head band and the frills on her pockets. I also used the cute Sunlight stamp in the background.

To add some extra interest to the image I stamped her face and the bunny's tail twice so that I could decoupage the image.

I used the bird Doohickey from Vintage Box 5 and the recipe card from the Recipe Card Collection to cut out the image.

The sentiment is also from the Sunbeam collection and I've used the feather Doohickeys and flower spray Doohickey from Vintage Box 5 too. The daffodils were created using the Daffodil Doohickey and stamens from my stash. I made the little eggs from air drying clay before painting with white acrylic paint, inking with chalk ink and adding the speckles with a Distress Ink marker.

I added the same embellishments at the other side of the egg box.

I made a belly band for the egg box and edged it with lace Doohickey from Vintage Box 3, cut several times. It makes such a pretty edge!

Roses Are Red Tilda

Hi, it's Jane here with my inspiration post for you for our first challenge of "Spring and at least one Doohickey Die". I have created a lollipop card using Roses Are Red Tilda from the Hugs and Kisses Collection. All of the papers are from Maja Design.

I have painted Tilda with Distress Inks using the no lines technique and added white dots to her cheeks and eyes using a white gel pen. The sentiment was cut from the bottom of the paper and trimmed to size.

I have used the Rose Leaf Doohickey die, Sakura Background Doohickey die and the Tilda Ticket Doohickey Die on my card. Everything is inked with Walnut Stain Distress ink on the edges to tie everything together.

TOMIC challenge #1 ~ SPRING + at least one Magnolia die

The Official Magnolia Inspirational Challenge!

After the three day introduction we have had wherein our Design Team answered 5 questions about how they joined the Magnolia Design Team, it is now time for our fantastic challenge.

We will have a challenge every 1st of the month but on top of that our Design Team will individually post a project/tutorial during the month to share their inspiration.

And what better way to start up our challenge with the sense of Spring in our hearts?

Therefore the theme we have chosen for you this month is

SPRING plus use at least one Magnolia die

in your project.

The Design Team will also choose the Top 5 amongst the participants.

· Post your submission respecting the challenge's theme on your blog with a link to TOMIC.

· Use the Inlinkz tool to link your submission. A direct link to your blog post and a direct link to TOMIC is required in order to submit your entry. Inlinkz will not allow you to submit if these two requirements aren't followed and will ask you to try again. These requirements are necessary as there is a lovely prize donated by Magnolia every month, it's only fair that the challenge should be linked and also this helps the DT to visit your blogs and leave comments.

· New creations only (no backlinking please).

· You have until the 25th each month to join our challenge.

· Cards, projects, boxes, LO are accepted as long as the main image has a Magnolia stamp on it and as it follows the theme of the challenge.
